4. Is Marcus Thurwell really dead?
The evidence has been mounting up in recent episodes against Marcus Thurwell (James Nesbitt). He has links to historic cases that could point to him being involved in the Gail Vella (Andi Osho) murder.
Hastings asked if Davidson knew of Thurwell but she answered “No comment”. It felt like she probably does have some extra information that she’s not prepared to give up. Could he be the man she thought was her father?
Thurwell was last spotted in Spain. At end of last episode the Spanish police raided a property where he was thought to be located. During the raid the bodies of a male and female were discovered, thought to be the Thurwells.
There’s obviously something suspicious going on here, but is Thurwell really dead? Like many viewers I noticed that one of the Spanish officiers involved in the raid appeared to have an uncanny resemblance to James Nesbitt. Is this a red herring or is Thurwell very much alive?
