3. Will Steve Arnott take his drugs test?
Steph Corbett (Amy De Bhrún) told Hastings (Adrian Dunbar) about Arnott’s painkiller issue. It’s hard to know if she was trying to get him in trouble or just trying to look out for him. She does seem to have a soft spot for Arnott but it could also be just an act.
It appears Hastings ordered the drugs tests for his team and he also gave Arnott a free pass on the first round of testing. This seemed to be a warning for Arnott to get clear as he wasn’t to be exempt from the second round.
Arnott tried to kick his painkiller habit but was then shown to be using again. Since then we’ve been kept in the dark about his problem. What we do know is that Arnott has been avoiding emails asking him to get tested. He’s now on his final warning.
Is Arnott just buying time to try and get clear? Or is he still using? If he doesn’t get tested or fails a test then he’s likely to face serious consequences.
