Carly Pearce may have decided to move on from her self-titled second album after only two singles – ones of which was the number 1 juggernaut ‘I Hope You’re Happy Now’ – but that hasn’t stopped us from listening to the album on repeat. ‘Dashboard Jesus’ is a sing-a-long anthem of resilience and ambition, ‘It Won’t Always Be Like This’ is strangely fitting for the pandemic and ‘Halfway Home’ breaks your heart in all the right ways.
