Game of Thrones season 4 Breaker of Chains preview

This week’s episode The Lion and the Rose managed to shock and delight us in equal measures. There’s so much going on already this season it’s hard to predict where it will end.

If you’re not up to date on the Game of Thrones TV show and like to avoid spoilers we suggest you don’t read any further.

The third episode is written by showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss with Alex Graves in the directors chair. It is titled Breaker of Chains which we presume is a reference to Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). Last we saw of her was in the season premiere as she marched her army towards the largest of the three slaver cities, Mereen.

The official synopsis for Breaker of Chains reads:
Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) ponders his options. Tywin (Charles Dance) extends an olive branch. Sam (John Bradley) realizes Castle Black isn’t safe, and Jon (Kit Harington) proposes a bold plan. The Hound (Rory McCann) teaches Arya (Maisie Williams) the way things are. Dany chooses her champion.
After King Joffrey (Jack Gleeson) finally got what he deserved last week we expect that King’s Landing will be in chaos. We don’t think Tyrion was responsible but it certainly looks like he could take the fall for it as Cersei (Lena Headey) had him arrested.

It looks like Jon Snow is going to be getting his first proper outing this season as he helps prepare the Night’s Watch for the attack by Mance Rayder (Ciarán Hinds).

We can also expect to visit the Riverlands to see how Arya and the Hound are getting on. We’re guessing that we’ll also get to see more of the goings on at Dragonstone with Melisandre, Stannis and Davos.
