2. ‘Desperately Seeking Susan’
‘Desperately Seeking Susan’ was a match made in heaven for Madonna. Coming during her hugely successful run of hits in the 80s, the film saw Madonna playing… well Madonna. That may sound like faint praise but it’s not – Madonna is actually incredible in this film as Susan Thomas, the object of unfulfilled housewife Roberta Glass’ (Rosanna Arquette) fascination. The film is fun, campy and very funny in parts with a strong performance from Madonna. It also features ‘Into The Groove’.
