4. ‘Dick Tracy’
The role of Breathless Mahoney in 1990’s ‘Dick Tracy’ opposite Warren Beatty was a perfect fit for Madonna. Playing the sexy singer that becomes embroiled in a romance with Dick, Madonna proved she could play sex kitten and villain with ease. The comic-book feel of the movie helped as Madonna gave her performance an injection of Betty Boop. The film also led to the ‘I’m Breathless’ album, which featured music from and inspired by the film, including the iconic ‘Vogue’ and the fun ‘Hanky Panky’.
