Little Big Town have officially unveiled details of their highly anticipated 12th studio album, ‘It’s A Dying Art,' set for release on August 28 via MCA Nashville. The multi-platinum, GRAMMY-winning quartet, Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook, return with a project that leans into raw emotion, lived experience and the enduring power of human-made music.
The album is available to pre-order now across a range of formats, including CD, vinyl and exclusive collector editions. Fans can secure their copy via Little Big Town Official Store, where limited signed versions and special colour vinyl pressings are also being offered.
Co-produced by Karen Fairchild alongside two-time GRAMMY winner Gena Johnson, the album brings together a stellar cast of collaborators, including Ashley Monroe, Jason Isbell and Kelsea Ballerini. Across its 13 tracks, ‘It’s A Dying Art' explores themes of connection, heartbreak, resilience and reflection: delivered through the band’s signature harmonies and nuanced storytelling.
Alongside the announcement, the group have released new track ‘Over and Over,' a beautifully layered piece written by Karen Fairchild, Ashley Ray, Jonnie Simpson and Madi Yanofsky. The song made its live debut during the band’s acclaimed set at Stagecoach Festival, offering fans an early glimpse into the album’s emotional core.
The project continues the momentum built by lead release ‘Hey There Sunshine,' which the band performed at the Academy of Country Music Awards to widespread acclaim. Early highlights from the record include the introspective ‘The Door' featuring Jason Isbell, the late-night warmth of ‘Closing Time' with Kelsea Ballerini, and the fiery, defiant ‘It’s Coming Around.' Together, they form a body of work that feels both deeply personal and universally resonant.
