20. ‘Evie’
Based on the real life of Jamie Lundy, the original story writer and co-director, ‘Evie’ is a collaboration between Lundy and Dominic Brunt (‘Emmerdale’). A slow-burning exploration of two siblings reunited after years apart defined by tragedy, ‘Evie’ features strong performances from Holli Dempsey and Jay Taylor, with a nice supernatural twist that adds plenty of simmering menace to the narrative.
