The sixth episode of The Walking Dead season 9 introduced us to a new group of survivors.

If you’re not up to date with The Walking Dead and like to avoid spoilers we suggest you don’t read any further.

Following a six-year time jump, the episode showed us how Alexandria and The Kingdom were getting on. Michonne (Danai Gurira) now leads Alexandria and she was annoyed when Judith (Cailey Fleming) saved a group and brought them back. The new group is comprised of Magna (Nadia Hilker), Luke (Dan Fogler), Connie (Lauren Ridloff), Kelly (Angel Theory) and Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura). The council met to decide their fate.

At The Kingdom, Carol (Melissa McBride), now married to Ezekiel (Khary Payton) set out to take Henry to Hilltop to train as a blacksmith. On the way they were ambushed by Jed (Rhys Coiro) and some of the Saviours who took half their supplies and Carol’s wedding ring. During the night she tracked them down, retrieved her ring and burnt them all alive!

Elsewhere in the episode, Rosita and Eugene (Josh McDermitt) tried to install equipment to boost their radio signal. The had to flee when a walker herd approached but Eugene injured himself. They managed to get away and hide in a patch of wet mud. As the herd passed they heard whispers from a new enemy.

The next episode is Stradivarius. Carol seeks out an old friend living alone in a wilderness teeming with walkers. Survivors make the perilous trek to a new home. The episode is directed by Michael Cudlitz who played Abraham on the show.
