If you want to avoid spoilers for season seven then we suggest you stop reading now.
The seventh episode is written by showrunners David Benioff & D. B. Weiss with Jeremy Podeswa back in the director’s chair for the first time since the season seven premiere. The episode is titled The Dragon and the Wolf but the synopsis is yet to be revealed. The episode is set to be the longest of the show so far at just under 80 minutes.

The new images as always don’t reveal any massive spoilers but they are the perfect tease and ripe for speculation. It looks like we’ll be spending a great deal of time at King’s Landing.
Like in the preview trailer (see below) there are shots of Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Bronn (Jerome Flynn) on the ramparts. They are watching Dany’s (Emilia Clarke) Unsullied army, led by Grey Work (Jacob Anderson) gathering below.
There’s a shot of Cersei (Lena Headey) in what looks to be her map room. We’re guessing she’s talking to Jaime as she appears to be holding her hands on her tummy. Is she talking about their baby?
We’re expecting the biggest scene, if not the bulk of the episode, to be set at the Dragonpit in King’s Landing. Here the majority of the major players are getting together for a meeting. The aim (we think) is to show off the captured wight to bring Cersei into the fight against the Night King. Will it be enough to convince her or has she set a trap?
Daenerys is suspiciously missing from the preview materials. We’d like to think she’ll turn up to the meeting on Drogon but that could be a risky move.
As usual, Cersei has the Mountain by her side. We’re guessing that the Hound (Rory McCann) is also present. We’ve been desperate to see the Mountain and the Hound go up against each other for a while now, dubbed Cleganebowl by the fans. If we look back to the second trailer around the 1:22 mark there was a shot of what looks like the Hound drawing his sword. This hasn’t happened yet this season so maybe we’ll finally get what promises to be an epic fight.
It would also be interesting to see the Hound and Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) together after she left him for dead. A meet for Brienne and Jaime is also long overdue, but what about Tormund (Kristofer Hivju) who wants to make babies with her?
There’s also a shot of Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) from what appears to be Dragonstone. We know he attends the Dragonpit meeting from the trailer, is he going to try and negotiate the release of his sister Yara (Gemma Whelan)?
Finally at Winterfell, Sansa (Sophie Turner) appears to be deep in thought. We wonder if she’s trying to decide who to trust between Arya (Maisie Williams) and Littlefinger (Aiden Gillen) or maybe she’s had another creepy session with Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright). There’s also a shot of Bran sat by a fire, we’re hoping he’ll finally spill the beans about Jon’s parents.
