Harleymoon Kemp drops new debut EP ‘Lone Ranger’

Harleymoon Kemp continues her musical evolution with the release of her debut EP ‘Lone Ranger.' Following the success of her recent single, ‘What Good Looks Like,' which introduced her to a broader audience and saw her perform at the Mayor of London’s St. George’s Day festival in Trafalgar Square, Kemp’s new EP is already creating buzz.

The Story Behind ‘Lone Ranger'

The ‘Lone Ranger' EP features a blend of Kemp’s personal experiences and storytelling prowess, encapsulating moments that resonate with listeners. Harleymoon explains, “Lone Ranger was inspired by a fleeting crush on a cowboy. ‘Faith in You’ is about finding safety with loved ones and features the amazing Alex Francis. ‘America’ captures the energy of a female writing camp in Nashville, perfect for fans of country crossover sounds.”

The EP's lead single, ‘Lone Ranger,' brings a lively, sassy vibe perfect for the dancefloor, showcasing Kemp’s versatility and heartfelt storytelling whilst the final track, ‘America,' adds a summer-pop edge, using the American dream as a metaphor for new love’s potential.

Harleymoon's Unique Sound and Influences

Harleymoon wrote or co-wrote all four tracks, drawing inspiration from personal life experiences. Her music infuses a British flavor into the international appeal of artists like Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraves, Ashley McBride, and Alanis Morissette. Collaborators on the EP include Charlie T, Barnabas Shaw, Adrian Hall, Michelle Leonard, Jess Sharman, and Loren.

The ‘Lone Ranger' EP represents Harleymoon's first comprehensive body of work after a series of successful singles, including the UK Country Music #1 hit ‘Space.' Her other tracks, such as ‘Fast Fwd,' ‘He Ain’t You' and ‘She Looks Like Me,' have earned her performances at major events like the Isle of Wight and Brighton Pride and airplay on BBC and Absolute Country.

Based in London but with strong ties to Nashville, Harleymoon’s musical journey is influenced by her family’s artistic background—her father, Martin Kemp, is a Spandau Ballet legend; her mother, Shirlie Kemp, was part of Pepsi & Shirlie and Wham!; and her brother, Roman Kemp, is a TV presenter and recent BRIT Award host.
