4. Her (2013)
The eerie opening music, reminiscent of 90s dial-up internet, of Joaquin’s sci-fi romantic comedy, Her, coupled with the pink-toned cinematography contrast stylishly in this tech-forward AI film, which won the best original screenplay Academy award for director, Spike Jonze. To paraphrase ‘Samantha’, the AI personality that Joaquin’s Theodore eventually falls in love with, the quirky, character-driven romantic comedy with a difference is good.
