8. Buffalo Soldiers (2001)
Marred by a release date of September 2001, Buffalo Soldiers’ take on American military personnel, set in East/West German in 1989 is Joaquin’s first lead role, as the likeable Ray Elwood. The controversial tagline of war is hell, peace is boring would have worked better in ‘80s celluloid, which is possibly why it was chosen for this Military/Comedy/Crime film.
