1. Joker (2019)
Okay, we all know Joaquin’s greatest cinematic achievement, a role which finally earned him the Oscar, the BAFTA and the SAG for best performance by an actor in a leading role. Arthur Fleck/Joker is trying his best, he really is, working as a clown and a failing stand-up comedian. His inappropriate, uncontrollable laughter will be his downfall and his saving. The morphing of the troubled character into a super-villain is a supercharged two-hour experience, largely thanks to Joaquin’s twenty years in preparing for this role, performing blockbuster alongside unconventional.
