4. ‘The Motorcycle Diaries’ (2004)
Widely considered to be one of Bernal’s finest performances, ‘The Motorcycle Diaries’ is a biopic of Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevara when he was 23-years-old. The film depicts Che’s 1952 expedition across South America with his friend Alberto Grenado. A powerful and deeply moving film, it showed that Bernal had the acting chops to turn in an awards worthy performance. The cinematography is gorgeous too!
