3. ‘Bad Education’ (2003)
My personal favourite film starring Bernal, Pedro Almodóvar’s ‘Bad Education’ is a mystery thriller that explores the impact of sexual abuse on two long-time friends. Bernal is excellent, making for a very convincing woman when he’s in drag as Zahara. If you’ve never seen it, this is a film you need to watch free from distractions as the plot is quite complex but the payoff is well worth it.
