1. Dead
My only 5-star review of the festival, ‘Dead’ is a horror/comedy from New Zealand, directed by Hayden J. Weal, who stars in it and co-wrote the screenplay alongside Thomas Sainsbury. A buddy comedy in the style of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, the film pairs together a dead police officer and a stoner who can see ghosts to solve a murder. It’s very funny, full of heart and destined to become a cult classic.
