The second episode of ITV‘s new drama Beecham House revealed more about the mysterious John Beecham (Tom Bateman).

As John and Samuel (Marc Warren) tracked down John’s brother Daniel (Leo Suter), the house was rocked by the arrival of a mysterious, and rude, woman who rubbed everyone up the wrong way, especially Henrietta (Lesley Nicol).
When John returned home he was surprised to see the woman, who had taken over care of August, and it was revealed she was called Chandrika (Pallavi Sharda). Beecham refused to say anything further about her when pressed by Henrietta and Margaret (Dakota Blue Richards).
Eventually he had to explain himself when tensions between Henrietta and Chandrika threatened to boil over. He told everyone that Chandrika was the sister of his late wife. Two revelations in close succession left the family (and the viewers at home) a little speechless!

The synopsis for episode 3 is:
A murder throws John’s plans of staying in Delhi into jeopardy. A person close within the household reveals his true colours with dangerous consequences. Margaret, a potential love interest, proves she is trustworthy when she helps John.
