After escaping Zaza in a stolen seaplane, Novin (Alin Sumarwata) and Zarkova (Yasemin Allen) didn’t get very far and had to ditch in a river. This saw them picked up by police and thrown in prison. The warden informed Zaza who was happy for her to have them killed. Novin and Zarkova were taken to the prison yard where they were set upon by three armed female prisoners. It ended in a stalemate and Novin suggested they team up. They headed for the warden’s office to recover the nuke intel but it had been destroyed.
Mac (Warren Brown) and Wyatt (Dan MacPherson) escaped on foot after ditching their car. They ended up in a shanty village where they were able to use a phone to report in. Coltrane (Jamie Bamber) told them to head to the prison while he and Chetri (Varada Sethu) worked on a contingency plan. The plan involved tracking down DEA agent Gillespie (Victoria Smurfit) who they had discovered was in contact with Zaza.
Coltrane and Gillespie found themselves flanked by cartel gunmen so headed into a building. They made their way through and Gillespie gave up the nuke location but double-crossed Coltrane and locked him in. He had to fight for his life while Gillespie was abducted by Pavel (Alec Newman). Chetri joined Coltrane in the field and they were extracted by Mac and Novin.
Section 20 geared up for an assault on Zaza to recover the nukes. As a backup plan, if things went wrong, they had C4 that they would have to detonate and possibly sacrifice themselves. Meanwhile, Pavel used Gillespie to get to Zaza to try and purchase the nukes. When 20 arrived Zaza thought it was Pavel’s doing and he shot Gillespie.
Pavel teamed up with Wyatt and Zarkova to get the nukes to safety. However, Pavel had other ideas and he shot Wyatt and left him for dead. Wyatt was in bad shape but survived and was found by Mac and Novin.
Zarkova wasn’t happy that Pavel shot Wyatt but he said he had orders to complete the mission no matter what. This also involved killing Beshnov. Zarkova drew her weapon and had Pavel kneel while she contacted her superiors. The confirmed that Pavel was now in charge and the episode ended with her saluting him and calling him sir.
In the seventh episode, Section 20 attempt to stop Pavel and Katrina from arming a notorious terrorist, a journey that takes them from cold back-streets of southwest Russia, through to the heat and danger of Jakarta, Indonesia.
