Chip Tooth Smile is Thomas’ first solo album since 2015’s The Great Unknown. Thomas rose to fame as the frontman of Matchbox 20, who released four albums starting with 1996’s Yourself or Someone Like You.

Among his solo hits are Lonely No More, This Is How a Heart Breaks and Streetcorner Symphony. He also scored a global smash with Smooth, a collaboration with Santana. As part of Matchbox 20 he’s had hits such as Push, 3AM, If You’re Gone, and Bent.
