Chernobyl: first trailer debuts and premiere date announced for May

Forthcoming Sky Original Production Chernobyl will debut on Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW TV on 7th May 2019.

The five-part mini-series will air weekly and the first trailer has been released, which you can watch below:

Chernobyl star Jared Harris, Stellan SkarsgƄrd, Emily Watson and Jessie Buckley. It brings to life the true story of the unprecedented man-made tragedy, and the brave men and women who made incredible sacrifices to save Europe from unimaginable disaster.

The show is the first co-production under a new deal with HBO. It is written and executive produced by Craig Mazin (The Identity Thief, The Huntsman: Winterā€™s War), directed by Johan Renck (Breaking Bad, Blackstar), and executive produced by Jane Featherstone (Humans, Broadchurch) for Sister Pictures, Carolyn Strauss (Game of Thrones, The Wire) for The Mighty Mint and Gabriel Silver for Sky. Johan Renck and Chris Fry (Humans, The Smoke) co-executive produce and Sanne Wohlenberg (Black Mirror, Wallander) produces.
