The fifth episode of Ray Donovan season 6 saw Mickey (Jon Voight) working on yet another crazy plan to make money.

If you’re not up to date with Ray Donovan and like to avoid spoilers we suggest you don’t read any further.

Ray (Liev Schreiber) took Smitty (Graham Rogers) back home after they gave Chalky a beating and had him arrested. There they found a furious Bridget (Kerris Dorsey) who was annoyed at her father for involving Smitty in his work.

Ray picked his son Conor (Devon Bagby) up from the airport. He wanted to spend a day together before he left with the marines for Germany. However, Conor was more concerned with seeing Daryll (Pooch Hall) and Bridget.

Ray organised a fake attack with the help of Daryll and Lena (Katherine Moennig). It was at the request of Sam Winslow (Susan Sarandon) to get Novak (Lola Glaudini) a boost in the polls.

Elsewhere, Mickey planned a robbery to get he and Bunchy (Dash Mihok) some more money. Bunchy wasn’t happy but felt he had no other choice. As a precaution he left his daughter Maria with Terry (Eddie Marsan).

At the end of the episode Novak turned up at Ray’s apartment. She made an advance on him and the pair had rough sex right there in the kitchen.
