While we don’t have a set date just yet, HBO revealed earlier that the final season of Game of Thrones is coming in April 2019. The season is expected to be just six episodes long.
HBO took to Twitter to make the announcement which you can see below:
Every battle.
Every betrayal.
Every risk.
Every fight.
Every sacrifice.
Every death.
All #ForTheThrone. pic.twitter.com/WReVt473SH— Game of Thrones (@GameOfThrones) November 13, 2018
Sadly it looks like we’re going to have to wait a little longer for new details of the season. The tweet contained a video but it was all old footage. Hopefully this announcement is the start of new information about the final season.
When the final season ends, Game of Thrones fans have plenty more to look forward to as there are several spin-offs rumoured to be in the works. The first of these was announced back in June and will be a prequel.
