Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and the DEO had to act fast to find out why National City’s citizens were becoming sick on the latest episode of Supergirl.

Imra (Amy Jackson) believed that Pestilence, the third world killer, was responsible but no one knew her identity. Winn (Jeremy Jordan) and Alex (Chyler Leigh) became infected and Brainy (Jesse Rath) created a cure using Mon-El (Chris Wood) and Imra’s blood, which didn’t work.

The DEO located Pestilence, who was part of Dr. Grace Parker (Angela Zhou), and Supergirl teamed up with Imra and Mon-El to fight her. They almost won but Purity (Krys Marshall) arrived and rescued her.

Imra managed to get a blood sample from Pestilence, which she gave to Brainy to correct his cure and make it effective.

Supergirl learned that Pestilence and Purity were heading for L-Corp, so she took Imara, Mon-El and J’onn (David Harewood) with her to help Lena (Katie McGrath). When they arrived they discovered that Lena had been holding Sam (Odette Annable) and they learned the truth about Reign.

Purity and Pestilence arrived and freed Reign, much to the shock and dismay of Supergirl.

The next episode of the season is Trinity. With all three Worldkillers united, Supergirl and her team brace themselves for an almighty battle. Plus, Kara asks a big favour of Guardian.
