DeVoe (Neil Sandilands) started gathering the technology he needed to build his Enlightenment Machine on the latest episode of The Flash.

Cisco (Carlos Valdes) enlisted the help of Gypsy (Jessica Camacho) to fight DeVoe and Marlize (Kim Engelbrecht) when they got their hands on the computers they needed. DeVoe attempted to strangle Gypsy as Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), Cisco and Barry (Grant Gustin) watched on helplessly.

Marlize pleaded with DeVoe not to kill Gypsy and he let her go. Team Flash learned that DeVoe was planning to use his machine to launch dark matter towards the Earth, which would result in a simplified population.

After the events, Marlize told DeVoe she was leaving him and used a force-field and his chair to make her escape. Gypsy and Cisco decided to break up when they realised they wanted different things from their relationship.

Meanwhile Harry (Tom Cavanagh) came clean to the team about his thinking cap and revealed that he was losing his intelligence.

Elsewhere the team tried to trigger Caitlin’s Killer Frost powers but failed and the mystery girl was revealed to be a speedster.

The next episode of the season is Harry and the Harrisons. Team Flash are forced to put their faith in crime lord Amunet Black when they need help disabling DeVoe’s enlightenment device.
