William (Ron Cephas Jones) left his grand-daughters in charge of his memorial on the latest episode of This Is Us.

Following his death in Memphis, William left instructions stating that he wanted Tess (Eris Baker) and Annie (Faithe Herman) to organise a celebration of his life. Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) struggled with William’s passing as she felt he hadn’t said goodbye to her like he had the rest of the family but she received a postcard from him in the mail.

Rebecca (Mandy Moore) told Randall (Sterling K. Brown) that she kept William from him because she feared that she would lose him. The two finally patched things up and Randall admitted he was glad of the time he did spend with his biological father.

Meanwhile Kevin’s (Justin Hartley) play opened and he was annoyed that an important critic didn’t attend. As he began to build his life with Sophie (Alexandra Breckenridge) once again, Kevin received a call from Ron Howard offering him a part in his next movie.

Kate (Chrissy Metz) told Toby (Chris Sullivan) that she was responsible for her father’s death, which is why she can’t talk about it.

In the past storyline Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) turned to drink when Rebecca went on tour. After refusing the advances of a colleague at work, Jack drove to Rebecca’s show after taking advice from Kate and despite being drunk.

The season finale is Moonshadow. Jack heads to Cleveland to make things right with Rebecca on the night of her first gig; The Big Three make big decisions about their futures.
