Hot Chip and Bastille to headline Festival no. 6

Award-winning Welsh festival, Festival No. 6 has revealed details of 2016s headliners. This year festival-goers will be able to see Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Hot Chip and Bastille.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will be closing the festival with their blend of alternative-rock on Sunday night. Saturday night the entertainment will come from dance pioneers, Hot Chip fresh from the glory of their critically acclaimed sixth studio album, Why Make Sense?. Bastille will be playing on the Friday night ahead of their new album being released.

Festival no.6 is set in a surreal site in the magical village of Portmeirion, Wales, the home of the cult TV series, The Prisoner. Acts at the festival will perform across the site, which was constructed by maverick architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis.

The headliners join other acts on the bill including Mercury nominated C Duncan, Django Django, Echo & The Bunnymen, Frances, Gwenno, JP Cooper, Lawrence Taylor, Lucy Rose, NGOD, Wonder, Oscar, Roots Manuva, Roisin Murphy and The Amazons.

Festival founder Gareth Cooper added: “This is year five and it just keeps getting better and better. We’re extremely excited about this year’s festival – our first wave of artists and DJ’s is better than ever and there are plenty more surprises up our sleeves.

“We also have a huge amount to announce on the culture, arts and food side of the festival which has become the real heart of No.6. All will be revealed very soon but I I’m convinced 2016 is destined to be the best yet.”

Festival no.6 takes place between 1st and 4th September at Portmeirion Wales.
