The Talos Principle arrives on Steam

Get ready to learn what it means to be human as The Talos Principle is available now on Steam for £29.99.

The title has garnered critical praise this week in reviews, scoring in the high 80s and 90s among several media outlets, with critics hailing it as “magical” (Gamesbeat, 90/100), “one of the best games of the year” (PCWorld, 4.5/5) and “compelling” (Eurogamer, 9/10). The title, available on PC, Mac, and Linux now, is set to launch early next year on PlayStation 4 and Android platforms.

Written by Tom Jubert (FTL, The Swapper) and Jonas Kyratzes (Infinite Ocean), The Talos Principle asks players to assume the role of a sentient being placed within a simulation of humanity’s greatest ruins and linked together through an arcane cathedral. Players are tasked with solving a series of increasingly complex puzzles woven into a philosophic allegory about intelligence and meaning in an inevitably doomed world.

A companion game for iOS, Android and PC, Sigils of Elohim, is also available. The free mini-game launched earlier this year and allows players to unlock items that will help them in The Talos Principle. Sigils of Elohim is now available across all platforms for free on Steam, iTunes and Android.
The honest truth is that we ran out of budget for digital ammo in Serious Sam 4 so we’ve got to fill our coffers with sales from The Talos Principle before we can all proceed with the shooty shooty bang bang game.
EF will be bringing you a full review of The Talos Principle later this month. Check out the Devolver Digital website for more information.
