Lisa Kudrow’s The Comeback set to return

HBO is bringing back Lisa Kudrowā€™s The Comeback for a new six-episode run.

The short-lived series was cancelled in 2005 after only 13 episodes following low ratings. Lisa Kudrow starred as fading actress Valerie Cherish and the show followed her adventures as she landed a role on a cheesy sitcom. The show was filmed like a reality TV series giving viewers fly-on-the-wall footage of Valerie at work and at home.

E! News reports that the new series will go into production on 19th May and if itā€™s successful the show may be brought back as a full series. It is reported that Malin Ackerman and Kellan Lutz will return to the show but that they may not appear in every episode due to their availability.

The Comeback was created by Kudrow with Sex and the City creator Michael Patrick King. Dan Bucantisky and Amy B Harris will be part of the creative team for the new series.

Weā€™re so excited by this news! Check out one of our favourite moments from the showā€™s first season:
