AMC have announced that Mad Men will return in the US on Sunday April 13th at 10pm for the first half of its final season.
For it’s final outing the show has been given one additional episode taking its run to 14. The first 7 episodes will be shown starting April 13th with the remainder of the season airing in 2015.
The decision to split the season was apparently due to the success of Breaking Bad’s final split season which built anticipation and pulled in stellar ratings.
There is no confirmed return date as of yet in the UK but we suspect Sky Atlantic will air the show just days after the US as they have with the past seasons.
