A cast of handsome young actors are to take to the stage at London’s Tristan Bates Theatre for Making Dickie Happy.
The play is about the young Noël Coward and his friendship with the blatantly gay (unless you read the authorised biographies) Dickie Mountbatten, and can be seen from 5th to 30th March.
Written by the Times theatre critic and playwright Jeremy Kingston, Making Dickie Happy, set in the sexually liberal 1920s, features a delightful cast of handsome young actors playing gay icons and their assorted boyfriends.
Whilst Noël has his own rocky relationship with his latest squeeze Tono to contend with, Dickie has to decide whether he wants to give up the life of a gay young bachelor surrounded by dishy sailors and trade it in for a marriage to a millionaire’s daughter.

The actors have graduated from the most prestigious drama schools and are definitely up-and-coming talent to keep an eye on.
