UK country-rock artist Katy Hurt has released her fiery new single, ‘Rather Be,' today, March 7. Packed with confidence, classic country humour, and fearless energy, the track serves as an unapologetic anthem for anyone who's ever been underestimated—whether by a boss, a partner, or anyone in between. The song delivers the kind of message you wish you could say out loud but often don’t.
Co-written with Gab Zsapka and produced by Juno Award-winner Murray Pulver, ‘Rather Be' was recorded at Stereobus Recording in Winnipeg. It marks the seventh single from Hurt’s highly anticipated debut album and follows the success of ‘Seasons,' her collaboration with Joey Landreth, which was released in January.
With its bold attitude and edgy girl-power spirit, “Rather Be” further cements Hurt as one of the most exciting rising stars in country and rock. Fans can look forward to hearing it live as she gears up for a run of upcoming shows.
