Anti-alien sentiment spread across the US following the outing of President Marsdin (Lynda Carter) as an alien on the latest episode of Supergirl.
Taking advantage of it, Mercy (Rhona Mitra) hacked L-Corp to disable the ability for aliens to hide in plain sight. Lena (Katie McGrath) and Mercy went head-to-head in battle with Kara (Melissa Benoist) trapped with them, unable to transform into Supergirl without giving her identity away.
As Lena and Mercy fought using part of Lex’s exoskeleton, Kara slipped away and returned as Supergirl. She caught Mercy and took her to the DEO where she was held with her brother Otis (Robert Baker).
They weren’t held for long though as they managed to convince Agent Jensen (Anthony Konechny) to let them out. He also helped them release Kryptonite into the atmosphere, which caused Supergirl to drop from the sky.
Meanwhile Nia (Nicole Maines) opened up to James (Mehcad Brooks) about her past and urged him to write an editorial against anti-alien hate.
Elsewhere J’onn searched for his missing friend and was led to a rally held by Agent Liberty (Sam Witwer).
The next episode of the season is Man of Steel. Through a series of incidents, and input from his anti-alien father, Ben Lockwood slowly transforms from a mild-mannered professor into the villainous Agent Liberty.
