Richard Thompson’s Mock Tudor is being revisited by Bong Load Records for a fantastic new reissue.
Available to pre-order now, the new edition of Mock Tudor is a decked out hard cover coffee table art book and double LP hybrid, the second in the Bong Load Book series. It features beautiful spreads of newly uncovered and unseen photos from the original Mock Tudor era photo sessions.
The release also includes high quality 12″ x 12″ wall art picture print, production notes from producer and mixer Tom Rothrock, an era-correct backstage satin sticky pass from the 1999-2000 world tour and a new old-stock Bong Load Records sticker from 1999.
The original vinyl edition was released nearly 20 years ago. You can pre-order the new edition of Mock Tudor from https://www.bongloadrecords.co.uk/product-page/bl-63-mock-tudor.
Over his career Thompson was named by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the Top 20 Guitarists of All Time. He has received Lifetime Achievement Awards for Songwriting on both sides of the Atlantic – from the Americana Music Association in Nashville to Britainās BBC Awards as well as the prestigious Ivor Novello.
In 2011 Thompson received an OBE (Order of the British Empire). He’s also one of the co-founders of Fairport Convention, who are credited with kick-starting British Folk Rock.
After Fairport Convention, Thompson pursued a solo career and he spent a decade making music with his then-wife Linda.
