‘Under the Banner of Heaven’, a true crime drama that originally premiered on Disney+, is coming to ITVX on 26th February 2024.
The drama is from Dustin Lance-Black (‘Milk’) and stars Andrew Garfield, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Sam Worthington. The cast also includes asts an all-star cast including Andrew Garfield, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Sam Worthington, Denise Gough, Wyatt Russell, Billy Howle, Chloe Pirrie, Rory Culkin, Seth Numrich, Adelaide Clemens and Gil Birmingham.
The series was inspired by the true crime bestseller by Jon Krakauer, and follows the events that led to the 1984 murder of Brenda Wright Lafferty (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and her baby daughter in a suburb in the Salt Lake Valley, Utah. As Detective Jeb Pyre investigates events that transpired, he uncovers buried truths about the origins of the LDS religion – Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – and the violent consequences of unyielding faith.
