Kylie Minogue kicked-off her eagerly anticipated Las Vegas residency at Voltaire at The Venetian last night.
Anticipation has been high for the star’s first residency with fans feverishly speculating what Kylie might perform. The Pop Princess opened the night with ‘Light Years’, from her 2000 album of the same name, and treated fans to a set-list that heavily featured her iconic hits.

Over the course of the performance Kylie performed classics such as ‘Confide In Me’, ‘Spinning Around’, ‘The Loco-motion’ and ‘All the Lovers’. She peppered the evening with highlights from her latest album ‘Tension‘ including the title track, the aptly named ‘Vegas High’, current single ‘Hold On To Now’ and her global smash ‘Padam Padam’.
Of course, no Kylie should would be complete without “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head”, which formed part of the four-song encore with ‘Padam Padam’, ‘The One’ and ‘Love At First Sight’. Kylie also paid tribute to Elvis Presley, who used to perform regularly in Vegas, by covering his song “Can’t Help Falling In Love”.
From the look of fan footage on social media, the intimate show features a catwalk that stretches out into the audience. Kylie enjoyed a number of costume changes during the show and was supported with dancers.
Earlier this week, Kylie announced the release of ‘Extension‘ in December, which will see her ‘Tension’ album tracks extended giving fans even more euphoric pop to enjoy.
