Stereophonics: a definitive Top 10 of their finest songs

7. ‘Violins And Tambourines’ (‘Graffiti on the Train’ 2013)

Possibly one of the Stereophonics’ strongest albums, certified Platinum, there are a handful of songs I could have chosen to include on this list, and which are often on set lists (including title track ‘Graffiti on the Train’).  The inclusion of strings on this polished, sophisticated album, which has magnificent Bond-soundtrack energy, and the absolute controlled maelstrom of sound on ‘Violins and Tambourines’, made it the easy choice; I absolutely love the way this ballad unexpectedly rocks out, like a car excelling 120mph.
