7. Nick to rumble Kate
I thought he was going to work it out by the end of season 1 but Zoya’s lovely, yet dim, father Nick (Johnathan Fernandez) is completely unaware that his love interest/friend Kate is the woman terrorising his daughter and her friends. The two had a very fractious exchange in the season finale after Kate criticised Nick for taking Davis’ (Luke Kirby) money and it’s the first time we’ve truly seen him have any backbone or gumption. Having Nick discover what Kate is up to would be an interesting twist and it would put him in a moral dilemma about whether to keep her secret quiet or let everyone know that she’s behind Gossip Girl. Why would he keep it quiet you ask? Because Nick is a smart guy and he could make Zoya’s life easier via Gossip Girl if he had leverage over Kate.
