Crossbows are OP
Crossbows are the AR50s of the medieval world and I encourage you to unlock them as early as you can. They need a carpenter and blacksmith with a skill of at least 20 to make the parts but the stopping power of these weapons is enormous. I don't even bother will melee weapons anymore as the combination of killing field from above and arming all my guys with crossbows makes defending attacks a breeze.
