Things I wish I knew before playing ‘Going Medieval’

Always have someone creating

Whenever you can spare someone, have them creating stuff even if you don’t need it. Every time a villager completes a task they gain experience and get better at completing that task, this leads to quicker performance and a better quality of work.

This doesn’t seem all that important at the start of the game but trust me it is. As you unlock better technology you will need people with a certain level skill in order to build new things and it’s really frustrating to find that you don’t have the required skills available.
