Last week saw the competitors return after a 7 month filming break due to covid, except one queen was missing…Veronica Green had tested positive and Ru informed the other queens that she would not return this series and then made them choose to bring back one of the other eliminated queens (minus Ginny). Joe Black won the vote but as is often the Drag Race way, went straight out again in a lip sync battle against Tia Kofi.

Episode 6 brought us the infamous Snatch Game! Here’s 5 things we learnt:

  1. The other queens think Tia needs to step up her pussy
Tia Kofi – (C) World of Wonder – Photographer: Ray Burmiston

As the girls re-entered the Werk Room, Tia asked them if she was officially a lip-sync assassin now that she’d survived two. It was met with silence before one of them quipped, “Wait until your third time!”. The subject moved on to Rupaul being mad at the bottom queens and Sister Sister started to go in for Tia, with Lawrence flipping it on the critique that Sister Sister has had. Even Ellie Diamond wanted to point out all of Tia’s faults and sounded like Rupaul as she said ‘But you said that you were going to improve your silhouette a couple of weeks ago. How are you going to ensure you’re not bottom two this week?’

Would this week be third time? Scroll down to find out.

2. Ellie has a twin brother

Ellie got emotional when Rupaul was chatting to him about his Snatch Game character. She told Rupaul that she was going to do Matt Lucas’ Little Britain character Vicky Pollard because her and her twin brother, Bryce, used to watch the show together. As the tears came, she explained that her family are so supportive and she was going to smash the challenge for them.

Later on he revealed how he had a tough time with his dad when he discovered Ellie’s drag gear. He took him for a drive and gave him the choice of coming back home and giving up drag or that he could leave and follow whatever lifestyle choice he wanted. Ellie chose to get out of the car but has recently started the reconciliation process with her Dad.

3. Rupaul is learning all about British Slang

Gemma Collins joined Michelle Visage as the Snatch Game contestants and between them and the queens, they gave Ru a lesson in British slang including bell-end, toss off and spotted dick!

4. Lawrence doesn’t always bring the funny

Playing Miriam Margolyes for Snatch Game, Lawrence relied on crass humour and swearing to try and win laughs but it quickly wore thin. This was definitely a miss for her and I think she knew it as she spoke with Tia following the challenge. Dare I say it, but I’m actually starting to go off Lawrence as there is definitely an air of believing she is better than at least some of the other queens; that she believes her own hype.

5. Bimini does a mean Jordan impression

With her fake giant boobs, big hair and slight speech impediment, Bimini had Ru cracking up with her Katie Price impression. Staying in character from the start, she really delivered with her answers and her banter.

For the runway the guest judge was Jessie Ware who joined Ru, Michelle and Alan and the category was Pre-historic Drag. We had a couple of Flintstones, bones galore, a pterodactyl and bacteria?! It felt a little too fancy dress for me in the main but Bimini’s bacteria was gorgeous and different to the others.

Ru gave the win to Bimini (rightly so) and put Tia and Lawrence into the lip sync which was to Cathy Dennis’ Touch Me (All Night Long). The lip sync itself was nothing to write home about and actually based on that alone, I’d have given it to Tia. However, this is the third time Tia was in the bottom two, whereas Lawrence has had three consecutive wins so the overall score card is massively in her favour.

Next week the girls have to turn themselves into Lockdown Superheroes, Raven makes an appearance and it looks like Tayce has an injury.
