Canadian singer-songwriter JP Saxe has teamed up with Julia Michaels for new single If the World Was Ending.
The song was produced by FINNEAS (Billie Eilish, Ashe), and was featured on Zane Loweās Beats 1 show. Watch the emotional video below:
Saxe says, āJulia and I wrote this song the day we met. It was a couple weeks after the last earthquake in LA. We were talking about the reasons people have to not talk to the people they really want to talk toā¦but know they shouldnāt talk to, and how many of those reasons would hold up in the apocalypse.ā
āThe song is about that special person in your life that for whatever reason you just canāt seem to make it work with,ā added Michaels. āIf the world is ending, and there was nothing left to hold you back, would you make your way back to them for one last night?ā
If the World Was Ending is the follow-up to Women Who Look Like You with rapper Guapdad 4000. Saxe had a breakthrough with his song The Few Things, which has had over 50 million streams to date.
