Blindspot 4×16 The One Where Jane Visits An Old Friend preview

On the latest episode of Blindspot, the team faced a race against time to prevent a stolen shipment of plutonium being used to create a bomb.

If you’re not up to date with Blindspot and like to avoid spoilers we suggest you don’t read any further.

The main case was focused on the team trying to track down the stolen plutonium. After doing so they posed as sellers and intercepted the real device. After disabling it they passed it on. One of the buyers, Cameron Gibbs (Tom Pelphrey), used to be friends with Remi (Jaimie Alexander) which complicated matters.

It turned out that Jane had used him and turned him against the military. He was going to detonate a dirty bomb at a convention center to kill military personnel but Jane and Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) stopped him.

Elsewhere in the episode, the key left by Shepherd led the team to a Sandstorm stash. It was full of items that meant something to Jane/Remi and almost triggered Remi to come back. Keaton (Chad Donella) finally awoke from his coma and confirmed that he could vouch for Zapata (Audrey Esparza). She wasn’t happy about him taking the entire blame though.

At the end of the episode, CCTV access at the Sandstorm stash revealed an unknown person had accessed it a day before the FBI. Who could it be?

The promo for the next episode reveals that the team are hot on the trail of Madeline (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) but she’s not going down without a fight.
