Alphabeat are back with new single Shadows following a six-year hiatus.
The Danish indie-pop band have been working alongside Danish producer Emil Falk and Shadows is the first track from their upcoming album, due later this year, for new label home Warner Music. Watch the video below:
“It has always been written in the stars that we should play together again and the desire has been there for a long time,” Stine Bramsen explains, who together with Anders SG leads the group. “There is a strong energy and chemistry which has been re-ignited with the track Shadows!”
Shadows was recorded in a summer house and it captures the carefree spirit that made the band a global sensation.
Anders SG says, “When we meet there, it is just like standing in the old practice room back in our hometown again. Wildness, friendship and naturally something that involves a few beers. We have made most of our demos at the summer house and it is also here we ended up recording most of the new songs. I actually believe we have tracks on the way for two entire albums. Ha! But right now we are just crazy excited to be back.”
Alphabeat wowed the pop world back in 2006 with their debut single Fascination. Their second album The Beat Is… cemented their position in the pop world and in 2010 the band supported Lady Gaga on tour. The band have had hits in the shape of The Spell, Hole in My Heart, Boyfriend and 10,000 Nights.
Alphabeat is: Stine Bramsen (vocals), Anders SG (vocals), Anders Bønløkke (guitar/keys), Anders Reinholdt (bass), Troels Møller (drums) and Ramus Nagel (keys).
