Critics Choice Awards 2019: Roma and A Star is Born lead the winners

Darren Criss continues his awards streak for his role in American Crime Story too.

The 24th annual Critics’ Choice Awards took place last night in Santa Monica, California and Roma was the night’s big winner.

Alfonso Cuarón’s foreign-language drama took home Best picture, Best foreign language film, Best director and Best cinematography. A Star is Born ended the night with two awards for Best actress – Lady Gaga tied with Glenn Close – and Best song for Shallow.

In the TV categories Darren Criss continued his streak picking up Best actor in a limited series or movie made for television for his role in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story. Criss has also picked up an Emmy and a Golden Globe for his performance in the series.
