Rhys Lewis releases new track Better Than Today

Singer-songwriter Rhys Lewis has released new track Better Than Today to kick-start 2019.

Speaking of the new track, Rhys says, ā€œWeā€™ve been living through some pretty turbulent times in recent years. I wrote this song to ease my anxiety about the state of the world and remind myself that, whatever our differences are, whatever we choose to believe in, we all live with the same good intentions common, and weā€™re all hoping for a better tomorrow.ā€

The track marks the first time Lewis has taken on the role of producer. He worked alongside Aidan Glover, who he co-wrote the song with, and they recorded it straight to tape in their South London studio.

Better Than Today follows on from a whirlwind 2018 that saw Lewis release the ballad No Right to Love You and amassed more than 80 million streams for his music.

The London-based artist originally hails from Oxford and he’s released seven songs and an EP so far. He’s toured extensively over the past couple of years with the likes of Freya Ridings, JP Cooper and James TW.

Lewis has picked up support from BBC Introducing and he’s performed at the British Music Embassy stage at SXSW 2018.
