Earlier tonight I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! crowned Harry Redknapp as this year’s King of the Jungle. He beat fellow celebrities Emily Atack and John Barrowman MBE who finished in second and third place respectively. The 2017 show was won by Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo who was crowned Queen of the Jungle.

Over the course of the 2018 series, the celebs seemed to have an absolutely fantastic time and formed really close bonds with each other. Harry in particular has been an absolute scream to watch. He’s joined in with everything, conquered all his trials and kept his fellow campmates entertained with his many stories.

In the final episode, as is tradition, each of the celebrities had a final Bushtucker Trial to overcome to earn their final meal. Emily took on the terrifying Fill Your Face trial where she stood with her head in a plastic sphere while all manner of creepy crawlies were dumped in with her over five minutes. Critters included giant mealworms, crickets, cockroaches, scorpions and spiders. She endured the whole trial to win five stars which earned three starters plus a drink and treat for her. Check out a taster of the challenge below:

John Barrowman faced an eating Bushtucker Trial called The Bushtucker Bonanza. His ordeal involved eating worms, a dead water spider, goats eyes, a blended fermented duck egg and a bull penis. He managed to eat all five meals to win five stars which earned three main courses plus a drink and treat for him.

Finally, winner Harry’s Bushtucker Trial was an endurance trial called Danger Down Under. It saw him locked underground in a box filled with water, rats, mealworms, crickets and cockroaches. His last minute was in total darkness and during the trial he got one of the critters in his right ear. He managed to last the entire five minutes to win five stars which earned three desserts plus a drink and treat for him.

For their final meals Emily chose rose wine, camembert, a burger and peanut butter and chocolate cheesecake. John ordered a gin and tonic (I think!), pepperoni pizza, fish and chips, and ice cream. While Harry went for red wine, squid, pasta and sticky toffee pudding.

This year’s cast of celebrities also included Sair Khan, Fleur East, Nick Knowles, James McVey, Anne Hegerty, Malique Thompson-Dwyer and Rita Simons. Noel Edmonds also joined in the fun as a final surprise housemate but was voted out first by the public.

The penultimate episode was absolutely hilarious as Harry, John, Fleur and Emily took on the show’s famous Celebrity Cyclone. You can see how they did in the video below:

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! is expected to return to ITV in November 2019. For next year’s show we’re expecting Ant McPartlin to resume his presenting duties with Declan Donnelly. Holly Willoughby who did a fantastic job of standing in for for Ant this year is not expected to return next year.
