Jimmie Allen releases new song Happy Hour

Rising US country star Jimmie Allen has released his latest song Happy Hour.

The upbeat acoustic guitar-driven track finds Allen singing about swapping nights at the bar with friends to spend time with his new lover. It shows off the soulful side of Allen’s vocals to perfection and is sure to be everywhere this summer.

Allen has also released a brand new video to accompany the song. The clip shows Allen sharing an impromptu round of beers with the team at his record label’s office.

Happy Hour is the latest release from Allen’s monthly Slower Lower Sessions series, which is named after the area where he grew up. Allen co-wrote the song with Dallas Wilson and Tate Howell.

Originally from Southern Delaware, Allen released his self-titled debut EP on Stoney Creek Records in 2017. He’s been named as an artist to watch in 2018 by the likes of Rolling Stone, Billboard and Sounds Like Nashville, and his music has been championed by BBC Radio and Baylen Leonard, who chose Allen’s previous single Best Shot as his Record of the Week on Chris Country.

Allen is currently on tour in the US supporting artists including David Nail and Toby Keith. He’s also working on his debut album, which is expected to be released later this year.
