Reddington (James Spader) created a distraction so that he could attempt to retrieve the duffel bag without Liz (Megan Boone) interfering on the latest episode of The Blacklist.
He put her onto the case of a young girl who was found running out of a forest as she tried to escape a cult. Her father was taken and murdered but she made it to hospital where she could be treated.
The cult went after her and kidnapped her but they also took Samar (Mozhan Marno). The girl was delivered back to the leader of the cult, who instructed for her to be burned alive, while Samar was taken by the man who abducted them both.

Aram (Amir Arison) revealed the truth about he cult’s leader to his followers and the Task Force saved the life of the little girl.
Meanwhile Red appealed to Lillian (Fiona Dourif) for help finding the duffel bag and asked for the location of her mother Naomi. It was revealed that Naomi had been murdered and Lillian asked Red not to contact her again.
The duffel bag was believed to be in Costa Rica and Red was stopped from going after it when Liz asked for his help finding Samar.
The next episode of the season is Lawrence Dane Devlin. Samar’s in trouble when she is caught in a Blacklister’s crosshairs. Red chases the duffle bag to an underground auction in Costa Rica.
