Tommy Merlyn (Colin Donnell) made a surprise return to Star City on the latest episode of Arrow but all wasn’t as it seemed.
Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) trial began and a number of witnesses were called to prove that he was the Green Arrow. The hearing was brought to a halt when Tommy crashed through the ceiling and declared he was the Green Arrow.
After the shock of seeing him back had sunk in, it was quickly revealed that Tommy hadn’t cheated death at the end of season one. It was actually Christopher Chance (Wil Traval), the Human Target.

Diaz (Kirk Acevedo) put pressure on Rene (Rick Gonzalez) by using his daughter and he also threatened Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) when she went against his orders after taking to the stand.
Chance posed as the judge and agreed to release Oliver claiming there wasn’t enough evidence. The actual judge was then killed by Diaz, who believed he had betrayed him.
Black Siren attempted to take out Diaz but her plan backfired and he took her captive. He also vowed to kill Oliver.
The next episode of the season is The Ties that Bind. Felicity gets a chance to stop Diaz as he takes aim at Team Arrow and their families.
